Nissan Formula E Team celebrates a landmark season 11 with proud Saudi sponsor Electromin
Saudi Arabia:
As the chequered flag waved at the season finale in London, Nissan Formula E
Team brought down the curtain on one of its most dynamic and thrilling seasons
to date in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Season 11 was a year of
bold moves, fast-paced drama and innovation.
This was made more poignant by the support of its sponsor, Electromin, part of
Petromin Corporation Group, a Saudi-born e-mobility leader driving the next wave
of sustainable transportation across the region and beyond.
From lights-out in Sao Paolo to the high-stakes double-header finale at London’s
ExCel circuit, Nissan Formula E Team captured hearts and headlines. With seven
podiums and four victories, bold overtakes and moments of electric brilliance,
the team proved determination, strategy and cutting-edge tech are a winning
formula.
Crowning the season’s achievements, Nissan Formula E Team’s Oliver Rowland
clinched the 2024/25 Formula E Drivers’ Championship, a career-defining victory
and a testament to the team’s relentless performance and unity throughout the
season.
One of the season’s most unforgettable highlights came at the inaugural Formula
E race weekend in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marking a new chapter in the Kingdom’s
motorsport history. In front of a passionate home crowd, the Nissan Formula E
Team driver delivered a stunning performance, securing a first-place finish. As
the car, emblazoned with Electromin’s logo, crossed the finish line, it marked a
moment that went beyond a simple sporting victory, a proud testament to Saudi
innovation, ambition, and leadership in e-mobility.
“At Petromin Corporation, we are proud to support electric motorsport as a
beacon for energy transformation,” added Kalyana Sivagnanam, GCEO of Petromin
Corporation. “This season has proven that Saudi companies are not only ready to
participate in global change, but to help lead it.”
From the intense energy-saving duel in Tokyo to the wet-weather battle in Berlin
that tested every element of driver skill and engineering precision, Nissan
Formula E Team's performance was a masterclass in smart, sustainable
performance.
“This season has been a remarkable journey of resilience, passion, and
progress,” said Tommaso Volpe, Managing Director and Team Principal, Nissan
Formula E Team. “Our partnership with Petromin Corporation is an important
pillar in our mission to promote and drive the adoption of electric mobility
worldwide.”
As the season winds down and preparations begin for Season 12, the partnership
between Nissan Formula E Team and Petromin Corporation stands as a symbol of
ambition: not only to compete at the highest levels of motorsport, but to
accelerate real-world solutions that push the planet forward.
