MoI conducts major security campaign in Jleeb and Khaitan
Kuwait:
The Ministry of Interior (MoI), represented by the
Criminal Security Sector, carried out an extensive security campaign in Jleeb
Al-Shuyoukh and Khaitan with the participation of several government agencies.
The campaign, launched under the direct supervision of First Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, comes as
part of joint efforts to combat violations and negative practices.
In a statement on Saturday, the ministry said the
campaign was conducted in cooperation with the General Fire Force, Kuwait
Municipality, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the
Ministry of Public Works and the Environment Public Authority. The operation
resulted in the closure of 19 shops for violating licensing conditions, issuing
violations against unlicensed commercial activities, dismantling random street
markets, removing mobile grocery stores, and arresting 26 violators.
The ministry noted that Sheikh Fahad instructed
all concerned bodies to intensify monitoring efforts and take immediate and
deterrent measures against violators, stressing the importance of firm
enforcement of laws and regulations to curb illegal practices. The MoI
reaffirmed its commitment to continue field campaigns in coordination with
relevant authorities, in line with a comprehensive plan aimed at addressing
violations, enhancing public security, and safeguarding society.
