Kuwait, UAE boost bilateral ties

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan received Kuwaiti
Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya on Monday, where the Kuwaiti diplomat
conveyed greetings from HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to
the Emirati president and the brotherly Emirati people for more progress and
prosperity. Sheikh Mohamed extended similar greetings to HH the Amir and the
Kuwaiti people. The two discussed deep-seated fraternal ties, cooperation within
the GCC framework and regional and international developments.
As part of his official visit, Yahya inaugurated Kuwait’s new embassy in Abu
Dhabi, alongside UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed. The visit also featured the fifth session of the
Kuwaiti-Emirati Joint Higher Committee, where both countries signed several
memoranda of understanding and executive programs in areas such as
standardization, infrastructure, IT, education, sports, culture, cybersecurity
and defense industries.
Kuwait’s Ambassador to the UAE Jamal Al-Ghunaim praised the inauguration of the
new embassy as a symbol of the enduring brotherly relations and a commitment to
enhancing cooperation, particularly in investment, economic and cultural fields.
On Tuesday, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior
Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah headed to the UAE on an official visit.
